I have two programs that I currently wish to master: ed(1) and mc(1). Ed is about the leanest editor that I know of, and it holds a special place in my retro-but-not-really heart. Mc, or Midnight Commander, is one of the nicest file manager shells that I have used. There are so many features in it, though, that I have never taken the time to really become proficient in its use. I hope to remedy that flaw.
